⚓️ More Than Just Booking a Boat

There’s a lot more to planning the perfect lake day than simply reserving a boat and texting your guest list. The #1 priority for any charter operator should always be safety.

Your boat should be well-maintained, in excellent seaworthy condition, and equipped with all required emergency gear. Your job is to have a great time - it’s our job to make sure that happens with minimal risk.

We’re often surprised at how much alcohol guests bring on board, not realizing how intense the effects can be in the sun and on open water. It’s essential to pace yourself, drink water regularly, and look out for each other.

Also important: hard liquor is not permitted on Lake Norman except in rare, approved cases. This rule goes a long way toward preventing dangerous levels of intoxication and keeping your day safe and fun.

Another common mistake? Trying to cram too much into too little time. We recommend at least 3–4 hours on the water for any larger event. Almost everyone tells us the day flew by faster than expected!
